Michael is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Geosciences. His research interests include structual geology, active tectonics, and paleoseismology. His current projects include using historical aerial photography to study interseismic strain accumulation and investigating the relationship between faulting and volcanism in central Oregon. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from California State University, Northridge.
